Duane Naquin Shares His Blueprint for Success

While based in the United States, Stone World is read by key stone industry buyers and producers in more than 90 countries throughout the world and our magazine is distributed at trade shows worldwide.

Stone World has been the leading news source serving the international stone industry since its inception in 1984. Its articles cover the production and use of granite, marble, limestone, slate, quartz surfacing and other materials and our readership includes fabricators, architects, installers, importers, distributors and other stone industry buyers, sellers and producers.

a reliable and low-cost SawJet Cutting System

BACA Systems introduces a reliable and low-cost SawJet Cutting System to the stone industry.

Robo SawJet is a high-production dual-table SawJet that integrates both a high-pressure abrasive waterjet and 20HP direct-drive saw.  Robo SawJet can save customers 70% on labor and 20% on material cost. Powered by KUKA, Robo SawJet is waterproof and dustproof — making it maintenance proof for the harsh environment of stone manufacturing. KUKA Robotics and BACA Systems are exclusive partners in the stone industry.

doubles production!

The standard dual-table Robo SawJet allows fabricators to produce a fully cut slab on one table, while the other table is being unloaded and reloaded, which doubles production.

Robo SawJet produces a slab approximately every 20 minutes. The direct-drive saw maximizes cutting time doing straight cuts, and then switches to a precision waterjet for tight angles and curves. The waterjet also allows for nesting pieces close together, thus saving material costs. By placing the robot between the two tables, Robo SawJet provides a small footprint for a busy granite fabricator’s production floor.

Robo SawJet includes VeinMatch and VIM.

The software included in BACA Systems’ Robo SawJet includes VeinMatch and VIM. VeinMatch allows you to easily optimize material flow for beauty or for yield.

Not only is it a sales tool, but also a cost savings tool. VIM, Virtual Inventory Management, shows customers a high-resolution photo of their exact slab for their project. The online photographic database allows searches by color, name or size and the bar coding system makes it easy to manage inventory.
