The Field Service Technician is a highly skilled professional responsible for providing on-site support and technical services to customers. They will provide help desk and daytime phone support and be able to carry out a variety of service activities on automation machinery including, but not limited to, machine breakdowns, repairs, refurbishment, relocation, and calibration. They will diagnose complex technical problems and perform onsite repairs to mechanical, electrical, electronic, waterjet, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and be able to diagnose and resolve PLC, PMC, CNC, and part programs performance problems. They will need to work flexible hours and occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays when necessary. Travel could range up to 80%, split shifts between the technical support hotline and service calls. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have a valid driver’s license and a current passport or the ability to obtain a passport. Must have proficiency using various tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repairs. Experience with KUKA robots, H20 waterjet and Salesforce is a plus.
