The Field Service Technician will provide help desk and daytime phone support and be able to carry out a variety of service activities on automation machinery including, but not limited to; machine breakdowns, repairs, refurbishment, relocation, and calibration. He or she will diagnose complex technical problems and perform onsite repairs to mechanical, electrical, electronic, waterjet, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and be able to diagnose and resolve PLC, PMC, CNC, and part programs performance problems. He or she will need to work flexible hours and occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays when necessary. Travel up to 50% of the time within North America. Should have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have a valid driver’s license and a current passport or the ability to obtain a passport. Must be trustworthy, personable, and comfortable working directly with customers.
